Being straight with you about what this site is: we read specifications and owner feedback carefully so that you don’t have to. We do not ride every bike we write about.
What we actually do
- Read the full specification, not the headline: motor type, battery in watt-hours, brake type, weight, frame sizes, warranty.
- Translate that into plain English: what a 374Wh battery means for your commute, why a mid-drive motor suits hills.
- Read owner feedback in volume and report the problems that keep recurring, not the one-off complaints.
- Say plainly when a manufacturer’s claim looks optimistic.
What we don’t do
We don’t carry out hands-on testing, so you won’t find measured ranges, timed hill climbs or scores out of ten here. Publishing numbers we hadn’t measured would be inventing them. We also don’t publish prices, because they change daily and Amazon’s terms only allow live pricing pulled through their own API.
Treat these pages as a shortcut through the specification sheets rather than a substitute for a test ride. Buy somewhere with a returns policy, and use it.
